Rain Room- Random International
An interactive installation at London’s Barbican Centre gives visitors the illusion of stepping into a rain shower – though they won’t get wet.
‘The installation encourages people to become performers on an unexpected stage,’ says Kate Bush, Head of Art Galleries at the Barbican Centre. ‘Rain Roomsurpasses all our expectations.’
The project can be visited until 3 March, 2013, at The Curve, Barbican Centre, London. Admission is free.Barbican Centre

Today’s Fash Off is a special collaborative look. In an innovative feat of crowdsourced styling, Oli models clashing citrus shades. In this sporty, energetic outfit Oli shows how to brighten up the dullest of rooms with a look as vibrant as his personality.
Each item in today’s look is sourced from various members of the Folk team proving sometimes in life it’s good to share.
“You can’t build a wall out of marshmellows.”
Oli’s look here is best described as ‘ecclectic’. His jacket and shoes references the 70’s; presumably inspired by Starsky and Hutch. In contrast, his nautical striped t-shirt and tangerine trousers take us back to the 80’s with a Club Tropicana soundtrack all their own.
Clashing two very different looks together allows Oli to create a signature style that can be imitated but not replicated.

For Jon’s second appearance on the Fash Off, he shows us his take on a 90’s inspired look.
Showing off his outfit in his signature stance, he models a playful palette of chocolate orange shades. Coupled with a classic pair of denim jeans, Jon let’s his jacket do all the talking.
Some would say this look is stuck in the past, others would say Jon is ahead of his time.
We’ll let you decide…

Yesterday was a ‘fruitful’ day for cider making at Folk
Cider Sunday
Here at Folk, it's pretty obvious we love our clients. What we wanted was a way to show them our gratitude and help to get them into the Folk spirit. So how to do that? Cider...naturally. Yesterday the Folk team took a trip out to the countryside for our first venture into bottling the essence of us as a brand. Thanks to Spencer Gallagher and his families' wonderful hospitality, we spent some time out in the fresh air learning about all things cider and conkers (many of us learnt that we had little skill in that department). From apple picking to pressing, we learnt that cider making is a tiring but brilliantly rewarding way to spend the day together.
So that's the cider made, stay tuned for the name unveiling, updates and of course the all important taste test...
This look is one that says the seasons are a changing. Raining? there’s a coat for that, sunny? sunglasses are at the ready.
A modern man on the go, Anny is ready for anything with this outfit. As the man himself said ‘Versatility for the win.’
The flip-flops in October? well even we can’t explain that one…
