Irish luxury chocolate brand Butlers approached us with the intention of maintaining the core identity (logo, colours etc) but to bring a heightening sense of luxury the rest of the brand, particularly the website, bringing it into line with their beautiful high street boutiques.

We developed a new form of identity, moving to a more sophisticated position with updated typefaces, refined colours and use of metallics found in the stores and on packaging. 

We turned then our attention to photography adopting a more artistic, fashion led approach placing chocolates alongside unique objet d’art symbolising the idea that nobody “needs” chocolate, but that it can, and should be, a true luxury.

Finally we adapted the tone of voice to maintain the traditional approachable nature, but with a more discerning tone.

The website redesign came alongside this, featuring large, clear images, celebrating the beautiful chocolates like pieces of art themselves, and a new revised user journey aiming to make the shopping process as seamless as possible.

Bespoke design and build on the Kooomo ecommerce platform which took approximately 4 months.
